Organic Lawn Maintenance Services in Colleyville, TX

Keep Your Outdoor Space Thriving

ORGANIC MAINTENANCE SERVICE

At Marshall Grain Co., we believe the organic way is the best way to care for your landscape, giving you superior results over time. We've been serving North Texas residents with organic solutions since the 1980s. We're the largest organic gardening center in our local area, and we've been installing and maintaining organic landscapes for more than a decade.

Many landscapers are unfamiliar with organic practices. Some  will even recommend mixing organic and chemical programs. But these are actually two entirely different approaches that fight against each other, which can lead to poor results.

Why do we think the organic approach superior? Because:

  • It’s safer. The organic approach reduces your exposure to toxins found in synthetic fertilizers, chemical pesticides, and herbicides, so you and your family can be healthier.

  • Saves water. Organic landscapes have healthy soil, which absorbs and retains moisture more efficiently, so there’s less run-off.

  • Helps correct problems. Organic methods can often correct problems triggered by chemical fertilizers, such as Take All Root Rot, a disease common in St. Augustine lawns that have been chemically treated.

  • Eco-friendly. Organic landscapes reduce the amount of pollution released into the environment, so it's more earth kind.

  • Supports pollinators and other wildlife. Provides safe, healthy spaces for essential bees, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife that can be harmed by chemical pesticides.

  • Grow your own organic edibles. You’ll enjoy your own home-grown vegetables that much more knowing they are chemical-free.

Boosting Your Lawn

Building a healthy lawn starts with regular fertilizations. But organic fertilizers work differently from chemical products. Instead of feeding your lawn macro-nutrients only, organic products feed the soil by adding both macro and micro nutrients from organic sources, thereby increasing the microbes that ward off pests and diseases.

Our organic fertilization program helps your lawn stay healthy by maintaining a diverse population of beneficial bacteria, fungi, and other microbes needed for consistent growth throughout the seasons.

lava sand

Our Unique Aeration Approach

Standard aeration allows your lawn to breathe again by opening holes in compacted soil. But this doesn't change the structure of your soil. If you started with compacted clay, you'll still have compacted clay all around the plugs.

Ideally, your soil should be loose throughout and rich in organic matter.

Marshall Grain offers a different approach. Instead of poking holes, we recommend applying Lava Sand, which  can evenly aerate your entire lawn to allow in more moisture and nutrients for up to a year. That's what our lava sand aeration does!

Customized Treatments

The best way to protect your lawn from diseases and pests is to make sure it's healthy so that it's better able to fight off potential problems.

Depending on your lawn's current state, we can apply a variety of soil amendments that can add vital minerals to repair nutrient deficiencies, make the soil more absorbent, and help your lawn to thrive.

Please note: We do not offer mowing.
