50% Off Texas Native Sabal Minor Palms

Here's a Texas native palm tree that grows more like a shrub and is able to withstand both extreme cold spells and droughts. Called Sabal Minor or Dwarf Palmetto, it typically has no trunk. Instead the fan-shaped leaves emerge from an underground stock, which makes it one of the most cold-tolerant palms in the world, capable of surviving temperatures as low as 0°F to -5°F. This palm rarely grows to more than 5-10ft. tall and about 4ft. wide. The leaves split into blades. White blooms are followed by black fruit.

In North Texas, the Sabal Minor has historically survived extended record-breaking freezes where temperatures remained below freezing for nearly two weeks. It is also remarkably heat and drought tolerant.

Save 60¢ per Bag on Hardwood Mulch!

Mulch is one of the simplest ways to improve the look and performance of your landscape beds. A good layer of mulch helps conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and protect plant roots from summer heat and winter cold — with no chemical additives.

And because Living Earth hardwood mulch is finely shredded, it's less likely to wash away than coarse mulches with large wood chunks.

For best results, apply a 2- to 3-inch layer and refresh it as needed over time.

One Bite Is All It Takes!
Fight Back in 3 Steps

Take down fire ants before they take you down! You only need to get bitten once to know how painful fire ant bites can be.

These aggressive invaders don't just build unsightly mounds in your lawn and flower beds — they swarm at the slightest disturbance and attack anything in their path. Each sting delivers venom that leaves painful, burning blisters. And once they're established, they don't go away on their own.

The good news? A three-step approach can knock them out at every stage of their lifecycle.

Step 1: Attack underground with Beneficial Nematodes. These microscopic predators go straight to the source — hunting fire ant eggs and larvae beneath the soil before they ever reach maturity. No eggs, no new ants.

Step 2: Eliminate active mounds fast with Nature's Creation Fire Ant Insecticide. Mix this powdered pesticide with water and pour it directly onto the mound for fast, targeted knockdown right where they live.

Step 3: Let them do the work with Come & Get It Organic Bait. Foraging fire ants carry this bait back to their colony and feed it to their queen — attacking the colony from the inside out.

Other actions you can take:

Apply dry molasses to your lawns and beds. It provides food for beneficial microbes that causes gut failure.

Mosquito Barrier garlic juice also acts as a strong repellent that drives fire ants away from the immediate area.
