About the event
Straw bales are a quick, easy, and inexpensive alternative to building a raised bed. You save the cost of buying or building a frame and you won’t need to buy yards and yards of soil to fill it with. Your garden can be a single bale or many bales and can be easily arranged into any configuration, and they can be placed on any surface, including a patio or driveway. Raised beds are also much easier to work than in-ground gardens — especially for those who have trouble kneeling or bending over.
We'll teach you how to set up and prepare your bales. You'll also learn how to grow your favorite vegetables with your straw bales.
