About the event
Straw bales can be turned into a quick and easy raised bed garden that you can set up almost anywhere. There's no tilling required, and they save you from the discomfort of having to kneel down and bend over to tend your plants.  Grow anything you like from onions and greens to tomatoes and strawberries.  In this class Maranda Jaegerman will teach you  how to prepare and locate your straw bales along with how to plant and grow various crops.
About Maranda
Maranda is in her final semester at Tarrant County Community College, where she has been studying Horticulture, including food crops, soil fertility, entomology, and more. Her extensive gardening repertoire includes using straw bales and raised beds.
