Rudbeckia Cutleaf Coneflower
Rudbeckia laciniata
Perennial in USDA zones 3-9. This giant sentinel loves moist soils and is found growing along streams, riverbeds or wet fields. Like its cousin, the black-eyed Susan, the bright yellow flowers seem to bloom non-stop from summer to fall with very little care. In the average garden, plants grow up to 5 feet tall, but can top 10 feet when happy. This vigorous perennial spreads moderately at the root to form large clumps, so give it plenty of room to grow.
Full sun to part shade. Blooms summer to fall.
